Bio & Hawaiian Words

I grew up in South Bend, IN. When I graduated from high  school I knew sitting behind a desk for a living wasn't for me.

I went to school to become a surgical technician. This  became a 22 year career for me. I was on a Neurosurgery trauma team and later was a private scub tech in orthopedics.

In the late 90's I went back to school to stay current with the job market and became a computer programmer. I enjoyed technology but the work culture was much different than the medical environment.

In 1996 my husband took me to the island of Kaua'i for our honeymoon - the island where my favorite movie  'South Pacific' was filmed.  This began my love affair with the Hawaiian Culture. This was also the time I felt needed  to get back to who I was, 'a caregiver' by nature.

Aloha Errands was born in 2002 and it has been a great adventure helping people from all walks of life in all different ways. What I do for my clients is from my heart.  I care about them and learn something new from each one of them. My business continues to grow.
Maybe someday, I can help you too!

Aloha! Trisha

                Let's Learn Hawaiian!

I started learning the Hawaiian language over 7 years ago along with other South Pacific languages.  I would like to share some Hawaiian words with you. You may never use them but then again you just might go to the Hawaiian Islands and hear one of these words and you will know what it means. The kama'aina or locals will appreciate your effort in knowing their language.
